Readiness for School
The Readiness for School Program (R4S) helps Korean-American parents and their children experience a smooth transition into the US public school system. Through a series of field trips, seminars, and other workshops, parents and their children learn what to expect at school and how the Los Angeles Unified School District works. KAFSC arranges for school principals, fire fighters, police officers, red cross volunteers, and other experts to provide special presentations on topics like school enrollment procedures, kindergarten preparedness, safety classes, and stranger awareness.
