KAFSC received generous donations from Dooil USA and The Holy City USA’s “The Rice from Love” campaign to help spread love and warmth into the new year. All the donations will help our clients begin 2011 with a joyful, positive outlook.

Dooil USA is a high quality Korean glassware and plastic product distributor in California. Dooil USA donated 65 boxes of goods to KAFSC on December 24^th, 2010 to assist victims of domestic violence and homelessness. The donation consisted of blankets, clothing and glass containers, adding up to over a thousand gifts.

The Churches in the Los Angeles District come together annually to hold an event called “The Rice from Love”. This event is planned by the Holy City USA organization to get the community involved in contributing bags of rice during the holiday season. After the campaign, the donated bags of rice are split to different churches, and nonprofit agencies to give out to low income families. KAFSC received 20 bags of rice on December 31^st, 2010.

KAFSC plans to distribute the donations on January 29^th, 2011. We are in the processing of planning a resourceful way to hand out these contributions. (More details will follow.)
