Children’s Happiness Expressed Through Art
KAFSC ran an art contest in November in which children were asked to draw their happiest moment. We received 170 entries from all over Southern California and as far as New Jersey from children in pre-school through 6th grade. The contest kick starts our new 18-month Korean American Family Violence Awareness Campaign, which raises awareness in the Korean American community of Southern California on the effects of domestic violence and child abuse on children and where to obtain services. The art pieces will be used to promote the message of safe, healthy children and families in the Korean American community through cards, brochures, and other products.
